Fractura Tinto is a Mexican red wine, with a deep violet color, lively, balanced and with good acidity, with aromatic notes of flowers such as magnolias, sweet licorice, pepper and cloves.
Halkia "Redish" is a natural vinification of the most planted red Greek grape, Agiorgitiko, from its birthplace in Nemea, by female organic grower Halkia. Even though this is a direct press, Agiorgitiko shows its richness in anthocyanins and fresh forest fruit.
The wine shows a deep red, but the Grenache has tempered the Tannat's inky black. Lifted aromas of cherry and herbs, very Rhône-like, very Grenache. The Tannat shows itself with an earthy undertone. Again, Rhône like flavors on the palate, showing how well this unlikely duo plays together. The Tannat grounds the Grenache, which can be over the top sometimes. The wine finishes with a flourish from the Tannat, all earth and acidity, and in this instance, the Grenache moderates the sometimes fierce tannins of the Tannat. Lovely. Proof that all roads lead to Rhône.
